Czech filmfest to screen Iran doc

Iranian director Ali Hamraz’s doc ‘Mr. Jobless’ is to go on display at the sixth Iranian Film Festival in the Czech Republic.

‘Mr. Jobless’ narrates the story of a jobless filmmaker among the 2014 young jobless in the world.

The movie has grabbed best documentary directing award at the eight edition of Iran Int'l Documentary Film Festival, Cinema Verite.

The filmmaker decides to make a film on his unemployment and his situation, but more people gradually get involved in the story.

Held in 2012 for the first time, the festival enjoys a panel of jury comprising noted international figures that will judge the Iranian films in the documentary and feature sections.

The festival’s three main prizes include award for the best narrative feature film, award for the best documentary and award for the best film selected by the audience.

The event has turned into a well-received cinematic occasion in Prague which introduces the Iranian art and artists.

The sixth Iranian Film Festival will be held on January 10-15, 2017 in Prague and Brno.
